West Indies and Pakistan meet in the third One Day International of their five-match series on Friday and with the score currently tied at 1-1, this could prove to be a vital encounter.
Pakistan won the first match by 126 runs, but the Windies did well to bounce back in the second game and win by 37 runs.
With the way the matches have gone so far, both teams are sure to be looking to bat first and get a competitive total on the board. In the opening two encounters, 224 and 232 have been more than enough runs to take the spoils.
West Indies will fancy their chances of taking a 2-1 lead as they have the momentum now, as well as a squad with a number of match-winners.
If you are betting on this clash, you can see that the bookmakers do have the home team as the slight favourites as they have odds of 10/11 over at Ladbrokes.
Dwayne Bravo is the captain of the side of course, but the man that will need to set the tone with the bat is Chris Gayle. He only managed to score one run last time out and needs a big performance here.
With the ball, Sunil Narine will be looking to put in a similar performance to the second ODI as he managed to take four wickets.
As for Pakistan, we know they can be one of the best teams around on their day, but you never quite know what sort of performance they are going to produce.
They were bowled out for just 195 last time out and what would have frustrated Misbah Ul-Haq would have been the fact a number of the top order got themselves in, but couldn’t convert their 50’s into 100’s.
If you fancy a bet on Pakistan, they can be backed at 11/10 with Bet365, which could prove to be a good bit of value from the bookies.
If Shahid Afridi puts in a similar display to the first ODI – where he scored 76 runs and took 7 wickets for just 12 runs – then the visitors stand a great chance in this one.
Bets on the top batsman will be popular and the most likely man to score the most runs for Pakistan is Mohammad Hafeez as he is at 4/1 with 888sports.
You can then get odds of 11/4 with StanJames on Chris Gayle being the main man with the bet for his team.
The Man of the Match market is always one we like though and Misbah Ul-Haq looks to be the value here at 14/1.
It should be an interesting encounter from 1.30pm on Friday.
